The Trade School at Queanbeyan High is a school within a school. It caters for students across the Canberra Region who wish to study metal and engineering as part of their senior studies.

The Trade School program trains students wishing to learn the skills of the metal fabrication industry.

Students can choose between a School Based Apprenticeship or a VET Framework course. Upon negotiation students could also qualify for ACT ASPA qualifications in the ACT system.

Students who study a NSW School Based Apprenticeship can complete the first year of their apprenticeship while completing their HSC.
