What next?
When deciding on what to do next, think carefully about the type of educational environment and career path you are after, as each offers a different experience. Look at the subjects you most enjoy and what careers they may lead into. It's important to look at the field of study you're interested in and how each institution you are considering performs in that field.
Students should not worry if they do not have a clear idea of their future career. Not everyone is sure when they leave school what they want to do. Talk to people in different fields and areas of work, ask them about their different educational and work experiences – this can help you make an informed choice.
CIT has experienced Careers Advisors to assist in determining the right study program, career and pathway for you. To make an appointment, phone the CIT Student Services Hub.

Students can achieve both an ACT Year 12 and a nationally recognised VET Certificate II, III or Statement of Attainment, with their Year 12 subjects specifically chosen to support their career skills including relevant units in English, Maths and Business. Successful completion will also open up alternative pathways to university with, in some cases, advanced standing.
In Semester 1, 2010 the CIT vocational Year 12 will be offered with programs in Information Technology, Animal Care, Design Fundamentals, Fitness, Childrens Services, Horticulture (Landscape), Hairdressing, Culinary Skills, Construction, Plumbing, Auto and Business Studies.
